Football medicine. New frontiers

The Isokinetic Medical Group, in partnership with FIFA Medical, is glad to introduce the XXXII edition of the Isokinetic Conference. Hosted for the second year in a row by Atletico de Madrid, the conference is as always conceived to generate high level scientific discussion with a vision projected in the future of medical practice. From the very beginning, the goal of our global gathering has been helping sports medicine practitioners in taking care of their patients, while giving the young talents opportunities to emerge and show their value.

With that in mind, the 2025 edition will go beyond the present, to face football medicine with a forward-thinking approach. This year, the main theme of the conference will be “New Frontiers” in Football Medicine. We aim to discuss the most promising innovations and newest approaches to clinical practice, while embracing the concept of progressive change, always keeping in mind that everything we take for granted today was once considered revolutionary. The new norm is probably yet to come and through micro and macro cycles of innovation implementation, the community has the responsibility to continue to evolve and offer the best services to football players all around the globe.

The Isokinetic Medical Group’s Conference Mission is to inspire the international Sports Medicine Community, through culture, image, atmosphere and organization, to do their best to improve world health. Improving the world’s health: this is the objective that we have as a community. With every edition we involve more practitioners, and patient after patient we all do our little part in fulfilling this goal. Thousands of members of the Football Medicine community from more than 80 different countries, moving in the same direction, will be in Madrid to help drive forward the movement.  

Our multiformat design will facilitate high level scientific discussion and education at multiple levels. During the traditional sessions, key opinion leaders from our faculty will deliver their experienced point of view coming from decades of evolving practice, while with the Open Debates we aim to create the perfect scenario for strong discussion on controversial football medicine topics, involving also the players. The Next Generation Leaders symposia, with again the best original abstracts from young talents, will be presented in conjunction with keynote lectures to create a link between different generations. To finish, hundreds of Original Contributions will also be presented. From case reports to complex design studies, they enrich greatly the overall educational offer.

In this book you find the abstracts of all the scientific works, from invited lectures to original papers accepted as free oral communications or poster presentations. We would like to thank all the Authors and the people that have contributed to the realization of this 2025 volume.

This abstract book of the XXXII edition of the Isokinetic Conference will contribute to the advancement of the field of Sports and Football Medicine, in the hope of driving the practice forward and helping New Frontiers to continuously emerge.
